You can search or browse job ads on the site without joining by using the ‘Quick Search’ function or by clicking on any of the job categories in the ‘Browse Job Ads’ box.

It costs nothing to become a registered user of Christian Career. If you do decide to join, you will be able to post your résumé on the site so that potential employers will be able to find you. As a registered user, you can also sign up to receive email job alerts, so that you will be informed whenever new jobs are posted on the site. 

You will be able to determine how much information you include in your résumé. You can also choose to keep your résumé ‘anonymous’ so that you can choose to disclose your identity after an employer has indicated an interest in contacting you.

A few résumé tips

Your résumé should provide enough information about you and your experience and qualifications to make prospective employers want to contact you.

Make sure you present all the information in your résumé clearly and concisely. Your résumé should be a summary of your employment and education. Don’t go into too much detail. At the same time, don’t be too brief either. Don’t just list the jobs you have had—describe what you did and the skills you have developed.

Highlight the things you most want people to know about you. If you are looking for work in a particular industry or field, make sure you draw attention to any experience or qualifications that are particularly relevant to that.

Make sure there are no unexplained ‘gaps’ in your history. If you took a year off to travel overseas, then mention that.

Make sure you can answer any questions an employer might ask about anything in your résumé. Be truthful about your skills and experience. Don’t exaggerate. At the same time, don’t undersell yourself.

2. To view résumés posted on the site by job seekers

Posting ads

 To post ads, you simply need to register and then purchase either a single ad posting for $89.00 (including GST) or one of the following multi-ad packages:

When posting a job advertisement, be sure to include the following information:

• Job title
• Location
• Brief job description
• Type of employment (full-time/part-time/contract/etc)
• Salary level
• Skills and experience required
• Application process and closing date
• Contact information

The Christian Career job posting form requires advertisers to complete certain fields to ensure all jobs posted can be accessed by the site’s search engine.
